Step Up for Smart Works 2025

For many women, getting a job is a lifeline. It is a chance to escape poverty, gain financial stability and restore confidence. In the shadow of the cost of living crisis, there is an intensified need for the Smart Works service.

Smart Works is a UK charity that dresses and coaches unemployed women for their job interview. They give women the confidence they need to reach their full potential, secure employment and change the trajectory of their lives.

Women who are supported by Smart Works are referred from Job Centers, mental health charities, women's refuges, homeless shelters, the prison service, care service and youth organisations.

Between the 1st and 31st of March, I will be joining my colleagues at JOSEPH by walking at least 10,000 steps a day to raise vital funds for Smart Works. I have set myself the personal challenge of reaching half a million steps throughout March.
