Step Up for Smart Works 2025

For many women, getting a job is a lifeline. It is a chance to escape poverty, gain financial stability and restore confidence. In the shadow of the cost of living crisis, there is an intensified need for the Smart Works service.

Smart Works is a UK charity that dresses and coaches unemployed women for their job interview. They give women the confidence they need to reach their full potential, secure employment and transform their lives. In the last year, 63% got a job within a month of their appointment.

Between the 1st and 31st of March, I will be walking 10,000 steps a day to raise vital funds for Smart Works. I would appreciate anything you are able to give to this fantastic charity.

Stepping up for unemployed women

Have you ever been out of work? I have and it’s soul-destroying. That’s why I’m taking part in the Step Up for Smart Works challenge this March, also the month of International Women’s Day. Every day I’ll be doing 10,000 steps to help fundraise for the 10,000 women Smart Works aims to assist across the UK this year. It’s a simple and highly effective formula - Smart Works provides clothing and coaching to help unemployed women regain their confidence and get the job. More than two thirds of the women who are supported by Smart Works go on to secure meaningful jobs.

So if you can, please put your hand in your pocket and help me to help women who need our support most.
